About Victor

After earning a dual Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and History with a minor in Photography, Victor Sanchez received his MLIS from LSU in 2002. Before joining LOUIS, he had fifteen years of experience as a librarian at River Parishes Community College where he started off as a copy cataloger and later moved up to Head of Technical Services, as well as System Administrator. He has participated in many library transformations; from offering print books to e-books, DVDs to streaming video collections to 3-D interactive content, numerous EBSO products and beyond, and many manifestations of SirsiDynix, the library website and online catalog.

In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, cycling, and making noise (music?) on bass guitar with his (band?) of over-40-year-old unruly teenagers.
